Teriş Kimyevi Maddeler Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. was founded in Istanbul in 1961. Turkey’s plastics processing industry was then in its infancy: almost all raw material was imported, and the foreign exchange and import regime changed from one year to the next. Teriş positioned itself not merely as a company that found material for processors, but as a trading house that financed it.
That decision shaped the next sixty-five years. Teriş is today the oldest company in Tacirler Holding and the foundation the group was built upon. The holding’s reach across industry, trade and finance grew out of the discipline first learned at a trading desk.
We now supply polypropylene, polyethylene, PVC, polystyrene, PET and engineering plastics to a broad base of manufacturers, from packaging and automotive to construction and medical. One question sits at the centre of the work: how long can a production line run without interruption, on the right material and on terms the business can actually carry?

A confirmed shipment date is a promise. When a delay becomes possible, the customer hears it from us on the phone — not from an idle production line.
Measured risk
Credit terms and limits follow analysis, not the warmth of a relationship. We do not pass on risk we would not carry ourselves.
Technical honesty
We do not recommend the wrong grade to move the stock we happen to hold. A specification that does not fit the application is a customer lost for the sake of one invoice.
