The same polymer arrives with a completely different list of expectations depending on the industry. Packaging leads with optics and barrier, automotive with temperature and emissions, medical with sterilisation and regulation. We build our supply approach around each sector’s real constraints.
01
Packaging
The largest application by tonnage. In film, rigid packaging and closures, optical properties, barrier performance and line speed are assessed together. Recycled content targets have become a new constraint that directly shapes grade selection.
02
Automotive
Weight reduction keeps extending the substitution of metal by polymer. Impact copolymer PP, ABS, PA6 and POM run from interior trim to under-bonnet components. In this sector, continuity of delivery matters as much as price.
03
Construction
Window profile, pipe and insulation applications are decided by service life and weathering. On the PVC and HDPE side, conformity to standards and lot-to-lot consistency are the questions projects return to most often.
04
Agriculture
Greenhouse covers, mulch film and drip irrigation lines are governed by UV resistance and mechanical life. Demand concentrates seasonally, which makes timing critical — stock is planned ahead of the season, not during it.
05
White goods and electronics
Surface quality, dimensional stability and flame retardancy are required together. HIPS, ABS and PP copolymer grades work side by side across bodies, liners and components. Colour consistency is the most frequent sensitivity in series production.
06
Medical and hygiene
Resistance to the sterilisation method, clarity and regulatory conformity are mandatory. Random copolymer PP and PC grades run from single-use devices to housings. Here a grade change is never a purely commercial decision, because of the documentation that follows it.
